Rain Pics

Okay, I got my camera working. So here are some pics. I don't know if you can really see the water level, but if you look at those small bushes, you can see that the water level goes up above them. Pretty crazy. At that stop sign in the distance is where the bus was stopped. I had to go out there in my flip flops and umbrella and carry her home. Grace stayed pretty dry...me on the other hand... the below picture shows how high the water was on me.
I know, not a fantastic picture, but it took Grace five tries with the camera to get one that wasn't blurry or had her finger in it. :)

Umm...are you staying above water? How crazy. How is your house doing? Is it flooding? I guess you don't have basements there. I can't believe that rain. Good luck!

I am sure you disagree right now but... I love it when it rains that hard. You should take advantage and go out and play in the rain... if it is not too cold. It sounds childish but, playing in the rain is one of my favorite things to do!

Is it too cold?! I wish! Nope, we are still in the 80s and 90s here--even when it rains.

I was thinking of you while watching the weather report last night! How do you live in that? While I love the rain, I was the news to see flooding like this and wonder how everything is not destroyed. Our heaviest rains in Las Vegas can pretty well shut down the town! Great pictures! Oh, and what a gorgeous neighborhood!

Annie that's crazy! I'm so glad you didn't float away! Is your house okay? Can you even drive?

Yes, we are fine. It's just when it rains really hard for a long period of time the streets flood. But once the rain lightened, the water drained. No water in the house, etc. Just made for an adventurous few hours.

Wow, that is crazy! I can't even imagine that. Glad to hear everything is okay!

Holy cow- did you have to SWIM out to the bus? Crazy! Troy would have been on cloud 9. He loves it when it rains really hard!

I love the rain in Houston! I swear, everytime I go down to the Galleria, it pours and we have to wait out the rain so we can drive in the streets again! It really is unbelievable. But I can't believe you had to go out and WALK in that much rain! You are such a good mom. I probably would have looked for a blow-up boat and canoed to the bus stop...

That's insane! I like the rain, but not THAT much!

Do you own a canoe? You could row right out to the bus to pick her up. I am glad that you guys are okay. That would actually freak me out!! I actually felt that uncomfortable wet pant feeling when looking at your picture. I hope it stop soons!!!

Thanks for the awesome pictures. That is amazing. Poor Grace at the bus stop. You are the best mother ever! It really looks like you did swim to the bus stop.

HOLY COW! That's a little crazy. I half expected you to have little floaties on your arms. :) What an awesome mom you are.

Rain? What's that? I miss it so! (Ok, well, from the inside looking out--and thunderstorms in the early morning where you wake up and realize you still get to sleep--so cozy!)

Oh my gosh. Thats all I am going to say. Oh my gosh.

holy crap that is a lot of water! I can't believe all that rain and then the fires in the west. It really is the end of days, isn't it?

That's insane! I really don't know what to say. I'm glad you made it home and that everything is alright and continues to be alright with all this weird weather and crazy storms!
